From Resorts to River Cleanups

In response to a changed business climate — one in which a corporation’s every expenditure was subject to harsh scrutiny — Hilton Head Island added a social responsibility alternative to its list of meetings and retreats offerings. It became Riggs Partners’ job to demonstrate how a place of such exquisite beauty could also be a purposeful destination for socially conscious organizations.

Our Strategy:

1. Position the Difference.

The Hilton Head Island Difference, a new offering by the Visitor and Convention Bureau, was designed to give groups an easy way to incorporate a social responsibility component into their meetings and retreats. Riggs Partners created materials to introduce the refreshing concept and set it apart from Hilton Head Island’s traditional reputation as a luxurious resort destination.
