2. Reframe the issue
Access to age appropriate, medically accurate sexual health information reduces teen pregnancy, HIV and STIs.
It’s a documented fact, and we knew it was the right message to motivate our audience. We engaged a number of highly respected, influential women from across South Carolina to become ambassadors for the cause and the message. We developed a dynamic cross platform campaign, including traditional media and public relations, as well as an inbound strategy that generated links to a new website and blog. Through these channels, our ambassadors could reach out to their peers with powerful messages about their personal passion for the cause of reproductive health education and access to services — thus creating a strong network of women, and men, who became interested in learning more about preventing teen pregnancy and the spread of HIV and STIs.
