Riggs Partners Chooses Organizations to Receive CreateAthon Services®
COLUMBIA, SC — Eleven South Carolina nonprofit organizations will be the beneficiaries of free marketing and creative services provided by Riggs Partners during its 14th annual CreateAthon® event. The 24-hour work-around-the-clock effort will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
Organizations selected as CreateAthon clients this year include: Columbia MSA Talent Dividend Team, Congaree Land Trust, Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to Midlands, Haiti Orphan Foundation, Kershaw County Literacy Association, Memory Matters, Mental Illness Recovery Center, PASOs (Prenatal Awareness for Successful Outcomes), The Walker Foundation at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind, Vital Connections of the Midlands, and Youth Corps.

Riggs Partners expanded its local CreateAthon event into a national program in 2002. Since that time, more than 77 agencies in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico have participated, helping more than 1,000 nonprofit organizations by delivering 2,500 projects valued in excess of $12 million. “The work of CreateAthon is more important than ever, given the unprecedented challenges nonprofits face in the new economy,” said Cathy Monetti, Riggs partner and co-founder of CreateAthon. “We hope more creative professionals and students across the country will join us in putting their creative talent to work for these organizations and the causes they support.”
